Passing Memories From Generation to Generation...
I love taking photographs as they not only help to preserve memories for families to enjoy now, but photographs also capture who they are as a family and can be passed down for generations keeping the memory of loved ones and a family's heritage alive.
That is why I love photo restoration work too as it gives me the opportunity to restore the photos that display a familiy's heritage, allowing for those connections and memories to be revived and passed down to further generations.
My photo restoration services are priced on an individual basis, as each project is different and requires a different amount of work depending on the quality of images, i.e. how much restoration work needs to be done, and quantity of images as well as the end product that the client wishes the service to result in (i.e. prints, albums, digital images, memory boxes, slide shows etc.)
So please contact me for a consultation about the type of photo restoration you are in need of and to subsequently receive a quote on my fees for this service. Simply follow the 'Contact' link at the top of the website. I would love to be part of restoring your cherished family photos, giving them new life, and a chance to retell their stories!
Here are some examples of restoration work I have done in the past for friends and family!

O'Hara Wedding

This is a wedding photo of my great great great grandparents on the O'Hara side. It has been passed on to my grandmother and over the years it had been damaged with a water spill. My grandmother tried to colour in the mark with blue ink, but it made it worse. She brought it to me and I went to work reconstructing the feet and skirt of the bride by borrowing from the flower girls dress. I also reconstructed the bench leg and base as well as the bottom of the groom's shoe. It was my very first photo restoration and I am very proud to have been able to help preserve my family's heritage by restoring this photo and making it brighter, clearer and able to be printed again! This photo now hangs on the wall of my mother's home, and has been placed in my grandmother's family heritage scrapbook in order that the memory of loved ones can live on.

Young Love

This is a photo of my friend's grandparents when they first started dating. It captures them in such a whimsical and informal setting that she just loved it and was thrilled that I could bring the photo back to life by enhancing its' colour, getting rid of the minor dust marks and scratches, and making it into a digital version, resizing it to fit today's printing standards so that it can be re-printed and enjoyed all over again!

Siblings
My friend's mom had several images that were in need of repair. This one is of her and her sister and brother and it was discoloured, ripped around the edges and had tape damage as well as a splatter of some sort that was marking her face and dress in the image. Now it has been restored and the child hood memories and connections can live on, and can be made into copies to share with her siblings! A great way not to have to separate old photos, but to restore and re-print to be able to share with all your family members!

A Beautiful Bride
Wedding day's are so precious and so fixing this photo of my friend's family's mother and grandmother was an honour. The weathering on this photo has been restored and now it can be reprinted and shared with the whole family. What a beautiful heritage photograph that will help to keep the loving memory of a wonderful women alive in her family's hearts.

Flood Damaged Photo
This photo had been through a flood, so it was quite heavily water damaged with lots of bending and lots of water marks and dust/scratch marks. The true warm nature of the photo was able to be restored by removing all of the damage marks and softening the photo to reduce the effect of the bending caused by water damage.
